Report for object with no occurence in live models?

Hi!

Our objects (Roles, DKOs, etc) are kept on libraries and part of the housekeeping that we do is to check whether the object is still used on the live models. If not, we're supposed to removed it from the libraries. Currently, I check it using the report "Output occurrences of objects" after which I have to manually scan which is a very time-consuming task.

Do we have other available reports that can just give me a report which can directly tell me which has no occurrence to live models?

Hi all ,

i want to get Access Right for users as ( write , read and delete ) , but i faced difficulty for dealing getAccessRights because it need two argument , and i'm no understand the first argument !!

Hidden CxnOcc by a macro script code

Hi.

Is there a way to set CxnOcc to invisible by a macro script. I did not find in Designer methods for that. But manually is model user can put one object with connection on other and Aris editor suggests to make hidden connection.

ARIS license - usable reports

Hi community,

i am a student (with an ARIS student license = Simulation + Business Process Modeling & Analysis) and got the task to kinda list all usable reports.

When i checked the report categories in administration -> evaluation -> reports, the shown list is overwhelming and contains categories which i am not able to use because of my license. Is there a way to "filter" the shown reports so that i only see the usable ones?

F.e.: The categorie business publisher is not included in my license but i am still able to see the report f.e. "HTML export".

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Query Import

Hi All,

Anyone know how to import Queries from ARIS 7.2 with extension *.aqu into ARIS 9.8 that requires *.eqi ?

ARIS 9.8 does not give you the option of "All files", under the "Files of Type:" dropdown.

Report script using external JAR file no longer working after installing v9.8.6

Hello ARIS community,

We have a custom script that we developed that uses an external JAR file.  This JAR file enables the report script to retrieve contact information for people in our corporate active directory by a web service.  This had been working all the way up to v9.8.1.  We have recently installed v9.8.6 and now we get the error

Unmarshalling Error: unexpected element (uri:"http://webservice", local:"deactivate")

Expected elements are <{http://webservice}nickname>,{http://webservice}hrSystem, ...

I submitted an empower ticket with Software AG, but I was told that since this is a custom script, they cannot help me.  I believe it must be something in the new version of how it is handling SOAP request from web service that is causing the error.  Maybe I have to modify the JAR file?  If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

As a test, I installed v9.8.6 on a test server and tried to run the report script.  It failed with the same error.  I uninstalled v9.8.6 and then reinstalled v9.8.1.  I ran the report script and it completed successfully.

Filtering functions with positions, policy and application system type

Hi

 

Im trying to get a table with all the functions on my model. I need to have on the table detail the name of the function, the position that is carries out, the document (if it exist) and the system that support the function (if it exist) using the WYSIWYG. The main problem is with the two last columns (policy and system application support) because the value its repeated.

I attach the model report.

My ARIS version is 98.6

I hope you can help me.

Report debugger error, report ID ==-1==

Dear community,

I've got written a report for writing model-infos into a word document with text and graphic. This report is startable with one or more models or with a group, where all the models inside the group and the subgroups are written into the word-document.

Sometimes I get the error message while running the report: "Report debugger error: startDebugSession: report ID==-1==> report exec not properly initialized!"

I have debugged the report and the error occurs at the command for output the model graphic to the output object: "oOutput.OutGraphic(oModelPic, -1, nMaxW, nMaxH);", so I know at which model the error occurs.

If I start the report at one group, the report stops at the round about 40th model. Every time the same model, when starting at the same group. But when I start the report only at this model or at one subgroup with less models but included this model, the report runs through without any errors.

Depending on the group the error occurs at the 40th or 80th model or the report runs through, also with more then 80 models.

My idea is, that there is a problem with the memory. But the task manager says there is free RAM left. I use 6-7GB of 8GB and it becomes not much more when the report is running. The created docx-document haves a size of 1-5 MB, as far as the report runs without this error.

I also tried to put this command into TRY-CATCH. But the command lines in CATCH are not executed. The error message occurs as well as without TRY-CATCH.

So I would be very happy if anyone can help me by telling me:

  • what can be the reason for this error?
  • how can I check the memory usage of the output object?
  • how can I prevent this error?

Report: How to get the current page and line number

Hello community,

currently I'm writing an report to write the content of several models into a word document.

Is there any possibility to get the current page number and the current line number?

I know, I can write the current page number with "File.OutputField(Constants.FIELD_PAGE, ...)" directly into the document. But I need it in a variable for later use.

And the line number or the position on the current page I need to see if the next chapter, table or picture suites in the current page or should I begin the next page.

ARIS Standard Reporting

Hello Team,

I´m a new user of ARIS, and i been reviewing the standard reports that are able to be run in ARIS Connect and the ones  in Architect.

And i have a couple of doubts that i'm wondering if you can help me...

  • Standard Reports
    • Are all of them based in JavaScript?
    • Is there a User Guide which explains how to edit the Standard Reports?
    • Is there a Guide to build the "Template for data import" ?
  • Queries
    • Is there any specific programming language?  
    • Or does they works while using the different tables of ARIS?

Is there a real guide of the reports that all companies uses as first steps to get data from Aris (Architect or Connect), i just receive something from the third party who is helping us implementing the system...

Running reports on the publisher

Hi all,

I saw that there is an option(in Tab Reports) on Publisher to import reports and am able to import a custom report to the business publisher but i am missing the "evaluations" option to run reports in the publisher. There were many standard reports in the business publisher already available but couldnot find an option to run them..

Can you please help me to understand where to enable it in the layout ? 

Please find attached a snapshot of our default layout for the UMG database.but it is still missing the option to run reports.

Create a Enterprise BPMN Collaboration model using Script

Hi,

Trying to create a Enterprise BPMN Collaboration model using script only.

I am able to create the Pool, but I can not find a way to add the Lanes to the it to look and function as normal. The pool object text comes out in the middle instead of the sideways on the left.

I can also create the Lanes, separately, but not as part of the Pool. I am also able to embed the lanes on the pool, but they don't function the way they should.

Anyone that have been able to create BPMN models correctly using a script? Is there perhaps a BPMN Component that I am not aware of?

While we are at it, why cant I move a lane into and existing pool manually?

Any advise would be appreciated :)

I am new to ARIS scripting and was trying to write a script to fetch all the group names and child group names from a selected Group. Following is my code and it is only returning the Parent group. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my code?

How to export model graphic to PDF

I'm new in ARIS report and i have a problem with export the model (EPC)  to PDF. I alredy have the RASCI chart but i can't include the graphic in the report. My Aris version is 9.8 and i'm using the script mode.

Checking the Symbol Type while placing a new object from symbol window - through Macro

Hi All,

We are trying to prepare a macro that will trigger when someone is going to place a new object in a model from the toolbar (Symbols).The report, associated with the macro will check the symbol type and will show dialog message for some specific type of objects.

Through report we are trying to get the the symbol type of the object that is going to be placed and show message before placing some particular objects in a model.

Please help if it is possible.

Edit user selection of dialog

Hello, 

i'm trying to edit a user selection a user did in a dialog. This dialog is part of an executable process in the ARIS Process Governance. 

Unfortunately, i can't find a possibility to add users to this selection or to delete existing ones via localService or report. 

Can someone help me?

Printing the Image attached in Documentation Attribute to a report

i have a screenshot attached to the Documentation attribute of an object in a process model. I am trying to print this Screenshot to the report using the Design view. I am not successful in this so far. can someone help me in this?

I tried to do this with the following query after selecting Documentation from attribute type drop down.

{Selected models.Object occurrences (filterable by symbol).Connected object occurrences (filterable list).Object definition.Attribute (filterable by type)}

 

But above query is throwing an error and my report doesn't even open.
